About this event

gBETA Forestry Showcase Friday, December 11 | 9:30–11:00 AM Wiregrass Innovation Center, Dothan Part of the Wiregrass Innovation Network meeting Meet the founders of gBETA Forestry Fall Cohort as they pitch the companies they’re building for Alabama’s forest-products industry. This cohort works across the whole life of a tree. They’re turning forest residue and waste into clean energy and green chemicals. They’re using genomics to improve decision making from the start of cultivation. They’re automating pruning and tree care with bio-based technology. And they’re measuring the condition of every tree so landowners, lenders, and insurers can value timber on real data instead of estimates. If you own land, run a mill, lend to or insure the industry, or care about growing the Wiregrass economy, come meet them. Coffee, breakfast and networking accompany the pitches.
